A BUGS WORLD: “The Story”
Musings from a Butterfly…
It was a divine intervention that the three of us: the Bee, the Dragonfly, and I, the Butterfly, found one another and decided to flock together.
Once upon a time there was a Bee who was always busy. A Busy Bee you could say. Her name was Sierra. This bee had wild wonderful dreams of traveling the world just with a backpack in tow, seeing and doing anything and everything and sharing it with the world. The little Busy Bee then one day by chance flew into a Butterfly, who happened to work for the school paper.
Story goes, the Bee sought promotion for her application to become the next STA World Traveler Intern for summer 2009 and contacted the Butterfly for assistance.
The Butterfly bubbled with glee! For she, too, wanted to flutter the globe, flitting anywhere and everywhere tackling everything under the sun and moon, rainbows and stars, and showing others how it’s done!
SO, the two new friends buzzed and fluttered in elation as they realized their dreams were aligned.
Meanwhile, in a neighboring forest, there dwelled a Dragonfly. He was a zany little fellow named Cody. This kooky chap and the always-bustling Busy Bee had flown to the Amazon recently and plotted a journey in line with Bee and Butterfly’s.
So, with that, the trio of flying friends united and have since been buzzing, zipping, and fluttering all over campus, zooming near and far collecting photographs, videos, maps, and books to aid them in their upcoming travels.
Sadly, they have departed ways, flying to and fro, one to Austin, one to Colorado, and one to sunny California, to begin solo preparations for their overseas quest.
What adventures will Bee, Butterfly, and Dragonfly experience while they are away? You’ll have to keep coming back to see…
But never fear, come June 24, we’re coming back united, with a zing…
