Money. In Europe you’re going to have a lot of coins. It sucks. You don’t want to take them because they are heavy and noisy, but one coin can be worth like five dollars. Secondly, you cannot exchange coins. It seems like no one wants them. Eventually you’re going to have 12 pounds (lbs, not European currency) of coins from 12 different countries hitchhiking with you to the next destination and no way to dispose of them. That and you’ll need to know about the exchange rate. I freaked when my meal cost 1200 forint. Really that’s like six bucks but it’s bothersome. Carry a calculator for the conversions and an extra backpack for the cha-change.
