Hey guys!

Just wanted to fill you in on what’s buzzing with the bugs! Our plans have changed and we are no longer traveling together to Africa this summer as the World Travel Bugs. However, the Butterfly, Bee, and Firefly (Shelley, Sierra, and Tyler) have further to fly! We remain the ‘World Travelbugs’ and will be launching a new website coming soon that will document each of our separate excursions this summer…We will be sure to let you know about our upcoming adventures as they unfold!

We now have vision to continue the SMU Travel Bug to hopefully become an SMU tradition beginning with YOU! Our desire is to select 1,2 or 3 SMU students or May graduates who are planning a backpacking experience abroad for summer 2010 and let the ADVENTURES and the FOLLOWING continue!

We are looking for ridiculously travel-passionate individuals who:

• Are extremely adventurous, fun/life/exploration-loving, exuberant, and creative
• Travel with the intention of exploring off-the-beaten path destinations
• Possess a strong work ethic and verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable interviewing and mingling with fellow travelers
• Firm commitment to and execution of the Travel Bug vision of inspiring other youths to travel
• Strong writing/video skills and basic photography skills
• Member of club: Adrenaline Junkies

Benefits of site and experience will serve as:

• A strong resúmé builder
• A pre-established location to showcase your content
• A large pre-established fan base via Facebook, Twitter
• Opportunity to refine journalism, video, interview, and photography skills
• Opportunity to build a following of your name and your work
• Opportunity to have a ‘Pre-Flight’ photo shoot on SMU campus
• Opportunity to exercise marketing skills for self and website
• Potential affiliation with SMU’s study abroad page on university website
